Leprechauns, St. Patrick’s Day, Lucky Charms, Guinness, Shamrocks, and the Blarney Stone are some of the things that most people think of when they think of Ireland.  But what about the RIC, UDA, IRA, IRB, UFF and many more acronyms?  Ireland has a rich socio-political history that has impacted the lives of the Irish people.  Through this “blog,” I invite you to join me on a journey as I learn and educate myself of this more recent and often “untold” history of Ireland in preparation for a full immersion into the Irish culture.
